Is my squat deep enough?

Hi guys, I am a 16 year old girl following the stronglifts programme as I was quite underweight and weak and wanted to bulk up and get stronger. So far I have found it great but am quite confused about the barbell squat. I managed to get it up to about 57kg but that was with very bad form so I...

Myofascial Release Therapy

Does anybody have any knowledge or experience with this? I booked a deep tissue/sport massage and when I explained my issues the therapist suggested myofascial therapy. She tried it on me as opposed to the deep tissue and I noticed I was much more mobile the following day. I'd like to hear...

Exercises to get rid of these bulges..

Hi, I'm an office employee so I get to sit most of the time, however I do simple work out at home and have a good upper shape. The lower part is what I'm trying to get in shape, I know about the oblique exercises, however the following bulges are in the middle between the side body and the...

Very weak bench for level of development?

Hey guys, My chest has always been my best muscle group. I had some mass there even when I was a skinny twig (well, some of you would still consider me that :D) and it would grow even when I didn't focus on it at all (for example, tricep dips as only push exercise). My triceps are fine and my...

Squat form. Knees caving?

Hi there guys. I have been dealing with caving knees during squat. I also have had a few imballance issues in my glutes leading to issues in my medius. I have been working on this now and during heavy squatting I think my caving knees issues are gone. Can you check out and give opinion? For me...

Umbilical hernia

Hello guys, I figured there is no better place to ask but here. I had my gallblader removed 1 year ago with laporascopic surgery. The problem now is I have about 8 milimeters wide bump in my bellybuton below the incision from the gallblader surgey. So I ordered an appointment with my doctor just...

Substitute Kettlebell for Dumbbell? Which exercises?

There’s overlap between KBs and DBs for some things. Like doing lateral raises with a 20# KB is probably the same as a 20# DB. Shrugs must be the same I’d bet. I haven’t tied it yet, but chest flies might be overlappable. Not sure if the KB would rest against your wrist in a way is uncomfortable...

Can't do Pull-Ups!

Hello guys so I just bought a pull up bar that you don't need to screw and is being held by tension. Anyways when I tried to do one pull up. I was surprised I can't. How can I fix this? My lifts are Bench 225 Squat 325 and Dead lift 365 Rows 225. I'm 6'2 at 230 lbs and I'm cutting now

Dumbbell Specific Exercises? Which Better Than Barbell Equivalent?

If we made a list of every possible exercise that existed and the “tool” used (DB, Barbell, machine, etc) Which exercises that are dumbbell based that outperform barbell or perhaps are only available with DB with no barbell equivalent? For example chest flies with DBs seems to lack a barbell...

Best order of train full-body ?

Hello, i have a question. I train classic full-body training 4x per week. I just wondering, if it matters if i will do all push movements/pull movements/legs movements together in that training, or is it better to rotate it like push movement/pull movement/push movement/pull movement/legs ? Thanks

Close stance squat for quads ?

Hello, i have a question. I train at home, and for legs, i do mostly shoulder-width stance squats. I want to target quads a little bit more, so my question is, will close stance squat target quads more ? I mean really feet without any space between them, thanks for answer

Is adding volume a good substitute to adding more weight?

I recently started the Fierce 5 full body dumbbell plan after doing a homemade bro split routine, only problem is my limit to weight at home. For example, I do DB press for my chest but the weight isn't nearly enough anymore for 3x8. It feels like one exercise for each body part isnt enough. Could...

Dumbbell shoulder press: How much weight?

So before i started doing these, i heard that this exercise didn't require a whole lot of weight, as this muscle is small and prone to injury. 25-30lbs was the suggested upper limit. Anyway, i'm guessing this was BS because after months at around this weight, i've not seen any significant mass,...

How long does it take for you to increase curl weight?

I am just curious, how long did it take for you to increase your dumbell curl weight up by 5 lbs? (assuming you took proper nutrition and rest days etc). I have personally found that for me to progress from 15 lb to 30 lb was very rapid, i would say that maybe it just took me 3-4 months to increase...

At what point do pull-ups lose effectiveness??

I have to replace my pulldowns with pull-ups. So if I’m doing 3 sets of 8 wide grip, i can do the first set without breaks. Second set, can’t pull myself up as high The last 5-8 reps. Then 3rd set I need a full break halfway through. What would be the best way to incorporate my pull-ups now...

Might have discovered something new

So I was doing seated calf raises at home, can't get into public gyms and all cause of the quarantines ya know. Anyways, even with heavy dumbbells on the thigh - this exercise is resistant to reach a burnout point. I got to thinking "man there's gotta be a better way to tax the soleus, this just...

Fat burner recommendation

Hey guys, I an not a newbie by any means but I also don't have a 6 pack anymore (my own laziness during the covid strike). I am a slightly above average gym going and very aware of dieting and how that plays a huge role in losing weight. I've always found it personally beneficial to use a fat...

Dip bar worth it for 90 bucks?

A buddy of mine is moving away and is trying to sell his old stuff online. He’s offering a pair of adjustable dip bars for 90 bucks. Is this worth it if gyms in my place aren’t opening anytime soon? I already have a pull up bar. I would expect that I’d only use the dip bars for dips and inverted...

Question I think something's wrong with my reverse hyper extension.

I'm trying to do this exercise. I'm using a bench just like this guy is. ZeRsNzFcQLQ But I don't feel any tension in my glutes or legs or anything. All of the struggle is in my upper body, trying to hold onto the bench. If it wasn't for that, I could hyper extend forever. Which leads me to...
