Feeling DB Bench press in delts more than chest?

I'm not sure what the issue is with my form but dumbbell bench press, I feel it more in my rear delts down towards triceps before I ever feel it in my chest, in fact I don't feel it in chest at all. Yesterday I used really light weights focusing on slow controlled reps to try and get my form...

Pull Ups cause shoulder pain

Ive been experiencing shoulder pain for about 2 weeks now especially on pull day. It stopped after 3-4 days of rest and then came back after my last pull day. My guess is that I hurt myself while I was swinging to cheat and get more rep since I stopped using the assisted pull up machine. Its...

Why do I always have leg DOMS?

I train my legs at least twice per week, with squats for 3 sets of 6-8 reps on the first day and Deadlifts 3x5 on the second day. I always follow up these main lifts with Romanian DLs (or leg curl if I just did Deadlifts), Leg Press, and some sort of calf exercise for 2-3 sets of 8-10 reps. I...

Feeling sick during training.

Hello everyone, I'm not usually one to post but I've had a really annoying problem recently and can't seem to get a clear understanding of what to do. I've been going to the gym for almost 6 months now. I train 4 times a week for about an hour to an hour and a half. I'm in a caloric surplus since...

Shoulder Press Issues

Hey all, I am kind of new to all of this and have been going to the gym for a month or so. I have been attempting to do some standing overhead presses but I can't really seem to keep my arm straight when I go up to the top (it kind of deviates from being straight at about 5 degrees). I did some...

Russian fighter pull up program and back training

I am planning to start the Russian fighter pull up program, again, to get my pull up numbers up. That mean doing pull ups 6 days a week. However, will I still be able do do my twice weekly back day? Deadlift, rows, face pulls etc. just minus pull ups and lat pull downs. Any thoughts?

I'm going to start Jason Blaha's 5x5 routine and my gym doesn't have a squat rack but it has a smith machine and leg press machine. I cannot join another gym before anyone recommends that as an option. Which of the two exercises would you recommend?

Muscle inbalance, unstable at exercises

I feel like my whole stability comes from my right side (hip-core..). When i'm doing any exercise i feel like my left hip-core-back connection is very unstable. If i try to flex it, it doesn't help. I think i have weak left obliques, but when i try to do some exercise on them i can't hit them. I...

How many exercises for strength.

Hi, my name is Colin, a 16 year old junior in high school who is mostly lifting for strength right now. My question is about my training regiment. During my strength routine, I lift on a 5 day split Monday-Friday push, pull, legs, push, pull. My training is a pretty cookie-cutter routine...

"feeling" a muscle work

I've always had issues with feeling my hamstrings "work" on curls. No matter what concentric/eccentric rep speeds I use, iso holds, holding at the contracted position etc, I can't really feel them besides fatigue How important is it to feel a muscle working? Rep speed? Mind muscle connection?
