Knee discomfort after stretching calves

I'm not exactly sure why after stretching my calves, which were very tight and now extremely relaxed, led me to having odd discomfort of my right knee. I could deadlift fine today, but went to do some squats and felt discomfort so didn't even bother squatting. I really hope knee is 100% better...

Straps=No traps?

Are lifting straps more beneficial than they are useless? I have been trying to build mass/strength and one lift I’m struggling with right now is deadlifts. I’ve gone from 185-325lbs in deadlift. I’ve never used straps before and always used double overhand grip until I reached around 300lbs...

what's the max I should (back) squat without a rack?
