For those trying to gain weight, how much weight do you gain per month on average? I'm trying to figure out what a realistic goal for myslef is. This past year I've gained around 1.3lbs/month on average, but that is averaging in set-backs where I lost weight(vacation, being sick, etc). I'm...

OHP crooked barbell

At the top of every rep my left hand is higher than my right hand, so that the barbell locks out unevenly. Is this a problem I need to fix? My right arm is generally stronger than my left, so I don't think it's a strength imbalance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcCTdt4Y3xw BTW, how to...

Squat Mobility Issues

I've always struggled with squat form due to mobility issues, and I'm looking to fix them. I believe my issues are the following: When I initiate the squat, if I don't lean forward I will experience a good level of tightness in the front of my ankles as well as my mid back and groin before I...

Exclamation Is stretching bad for you?

Is stretching in general a bad idea? Or should it be dome in between activities? I often stretch in the morning when I wake up and then in the evening a couple hours before I go to bed. I have been wanting to go working out(meantime I do boxing), however I have only read of the negative...

I can't do a single pull up

I'm 18. My 1RM are 90kg Bench, 140kg Deadlift, 140kg Squat. I weight 82kg, am 6'1", and I've only been training properly (by properly, I mean correct nutrition and on a clear, structured program) for about 4-5 months. I've never, ever been able to do pull ups at all. From a neutral, straight...

Exclamation Hour Glass Shape - Men - A Little Different to Previous Threads About This

Hey everyone First, I should note, I did search the forums and read previous threads on this - but the bulk seemed to be about men who were already several months (or longer) into bodybuilding itself and the hourglass shape being a result of this. If there is an existing thread that addresses my...

Post Trainers

I'm searching for some new trainers for the gym and just need some help on what to look for to avoid injury/damage. I'm by no means a power lifter, I just follow an upper/low split. I've looked at "Addidas Ultraboost" and "Nike Flyknit".. I know these are considered running shoes, but, would...

What are the best core / lower back exercises

Can you guys recommend the best core and lower back exercises to be doing? I have a bad lower back that I’m trying to get back into shape. I’ve noticed pushups and planks have been helping tremendously. For example if my lower back flares up I can do push-ups and it feels instantly better. Is...

Is this a chin up or a pull up?

I have a choice between 2 handle bar type bars and then 2 bars where my palms face inwards. I use the latter. But is it a chin up or pull up, and which is better to building arm muscles?

Back to the gym after a 3-months break. Got some questions.

Hey. I recently came back to the gym after a 3 months break and I have some questions since I will be fully dedicated to it from now on. Sorry in advance if that's the wrong section to post that. 1. Are you doing any ab exercises? If yes, how many times per week? Can my abs still grow just from...
