Frequency for rear and side delts

I know I routinely read that too much pressing without balancing with pulling movements can wreck your shoulders. Does the same apply to other shoulder movements (lateral raises, facepulls)? I'd like to work the rear and side delts quite heavily for the next few months, either as superset every...

Why is my bench so weak compared to OHP?

My OHP is 135x5 with a 1RM of 145 (probably can hit 150 next week). But my bench is 185x5. I can DB Press 85s. Shouldn’t I be able to bench more? I haven’t actually done any of the big lifts consistently until a month ago though. In the past month my OHP up 30 and bench up 50. But still feel...

Less strength on incline bench press vs flat bench press?

Im quite new to weight training, I have only been doing calisthenics for a year (plus what weights I have been lifting from farming). Yesterday I was flat bench pressing 40kg, when I went to do an incline I couldn't even get the barbell off the rack, is it just normal to not lift as much weight...

Incline leg raises are very difficult for me to do. Are my abs really that weak?

In the first set I can barely get to 10 reps before failure, and on subsequent sets I can only reach 5 or 6 reps max, resting around 1 minute between each set. And this is without adding any resistance. Is it normal to be able to do such few reps on this particular exercise?

Feeling no DOMS at all

I never feel DOMS at all, every workout If I feel I haven't done enough I carry on until I can't do another set but I feel no soreness the day after, as if it never happened. Even about an hour post workout the soreness is gone.

Question Lying Leg Curl vs Seated Leg Curl

I always "feel" the lying leg curl more in my glutes and hams vs in the seated position. Are they supposed to be functional equivalents?

Fix my deadlift?

Here is a pic of my starting position. It’s the only way I’m able to keep the bar over the middle of my foot, my shoulders over the middle of my foot( over the bar) and my back straight. http://imgur.com/eJEsyR6

Bigger chin

Hey, Anyone got a way to make a weak chin bigger? (No surgery) and is fat stored in and around the lips to make them look thicker and stick out more? Other words would lower body fat pull the lips a bit more back (now 19%)

What is the effect of having 2 leg days?

Is it ok for me to have another leg day alongside one pull and one push day? I also train shoulders on one of these leg days. One is heavier, the other is for volume. Will having two make my upper legs disproportionately large compared to my upper body and calves?

Hip abductor / adductor

No one seems to do these exercises and I’m curious as to why. I remember speaking to a manager at one of my old gyms and he said to me these exercises are mainly for women, though that could have been because his gym didn’t have the abductor/adductor machine. I guess I’m just trying to weigh up...

Question Noob advise (strength and growth)

Hey, Cliché aside, joined the gym for the New Year and got a personal trainer to aid in motivation which has been a contributing factor as to why I have not stuck it out before. Bit of an overview- 6.3ft 294lb/133kg despite having what has been referred to as "stocky" I.E. Wide shoulders...

Unhappy Pushups - How Often?

Hey y’all, Got a question just out of curiosity. How often do y’all do push-ups? End of chest day? Multiple times a week? Never? Asking solely because I despise them. Leg day excites me more than doing 75 pushups at the end of my workout :(. Motivate me!

Building lats? What is best for beginners?

Hello all, new here and new to weight training. I lost 40 lbs from Sept to the end of November. I am 5’6” and met a goal weight of 138. I then started working on gaining muscle and bulking (not looking to get huge, just athletic and toned up, lean and cut). It’s only been a month but I have noticed...

Pull-up beginner progression

I want to add weighted pull-ups/chins into my program this year as an alternative vertical pull to lat pulldowns. I just started from square one, bodyweight lifts and ..... well, it's a struggle. Right now, I'm maxing out around 6 reps unassisted with no weight. Today I went 4 sets, 6-5-5-4...
