moving around for careers

wassup my fellow soylenters currently making 90k as a data analyst, live with gf (who i will probably marry sometime down the line), she makes about 75k. our salaries are almost at the top end for what we do in our area and there isn't a ton of opportunity where we live (north of sacramento)....

I just pay my bank (national bank of canada) to do it for me since I know nothing of the subject My gains have been absolute chit, around 4% in like 1.5 years Seriously need some good advice, keep in mind im in canada, but not sure if that makes quite a difference.
