Is the stock market for peasants?

Been in it for nearly 5 years now (age 27), but why does everyone trust it so much? We have zero control over the FAANG stocks which control so much of the market. Why do people trust it so much? I have about 55k of my own money in it and the portfolio is currently up 10k. Is that supposed to be...

Worth it to switch majors? (MIS to Marketing or Finance)

Basically when I transferred from CC to University I was missing a pre-req course for MIS, so if I continue on with my major it's going to set me back a semester. Marketing and Finance don't have any pre-reqs so I could graduate next spring as oppose to next fall. I'm not sure the career prospects...

Why do recruiting teams at a lot of big companies look like sorority squads?

Are the candidates who apply to these sorts of positions offering "special favors" to the managers and directors at these companies or what? Starting to think that recruiting is a career a lot of former sorority sloots go into to make their money after partying hard in college.

I see a beautiful landscape developing in the crypto space

you guys know no one goes to the moon while there are 1300+ altcoins right? first most all of these coins don't need the blockchain for their given purpose, the other ones are just a ****ty form of penny stocks clogging up the market cap and the ones trying to be a currency or a store of value are...

A good desktop wallet for ETH?

Hi, I would like to buy some ETH. What is a good desktop wallet to keep it? Something that doesn't need to download the full blockchain, if possible. (Like Electrum for XBT).

How much do you contribute to a 401k?

My employer matches a certain percentage of my pay. Now assuming everyone replying ITT has the same deal with their employer, is it worth it to only contribute the minimum amount to get the maximum employer match? I did the math and it's about 7% for me. Now would it make more sense for me to...
