Arrow Buying a new phone, should I pay it off or do month to month?

I'm buying a new smartphone (inb4 waste of money) and I've always just paid it off all at once to get it over with. I don't see the point in month to month payments if I have the money to do it at once. My friend told me it's a bad idea but didn't really say why.

Hows the IT job market in Cali?(Compared to DC)

What about Florida? Job market here in DC is good. Great money but not worth the cost of living. Brb waste 3 hours of your life every day commuting if you want a nice house. Brb, chit weather, no ocean, no city life.
