What was your down payment for your mortgage?

Engineer thinking of doing MSc in Machine Learning

I am thinking of making a career change into machine learning. I guess I would first do an MSc in machine learning which i believe I can qualify for based on my current experiences... then follwo through with a job in sector or doctorate. Do you think this is a positive move?
