Any bros come back from a herniated disc to resume squats and deadlifts?

Long story short, I was diagnosed with an annular tear (torn disc) a while ago, and completely laid off squats and deads, and modified my workouts. Meanwhile I was doing a shower renovation, carrying cement backerboard and cement blocks and, like an idiot, turned that torn disc into a full blown...

Science based cast iron seasoning

A while back my old trusty cast iron lodge pan had gotten a lot of black buildup from years of use and reseasoning using various oils etc and lazy cleaning practices. Attempts to reseason were building up layers of carbon. I decided to do some research on how best to reseason. I found this...

Intermittent fasting

I hear the typical IF routine is 8 hour window of eating, but I've pretty much always done that my whole life since I don't eat breakfast. Would it be ok to close the window even more to like 4 hours? Not for just a few months either, I mean like the next few decades

How do you treat alcohol?

If you know you are going to have 5 or 6 shots (4-600 calories depending on type) do you eat a little less that day in anticipation or do you hit all your macros like you normally would and just ignore the extra calories? I'm bulking, but I guess the same would apply to someone cutting.

1k cals over maintenance

Last week I ate 1k cals over my maintenance every day. My scale broke so I don't know how much I gained but will I have gained 2 lbs since 3500 calories= 1 pound, or will not all of the calories be converted to fat/muscle? Could I have only gained 1 lb bc of water weight? Thoughts??
