Thoughts on Thomas DeLauer?

Thomas DeLauer: is he a quack? I watch his videos, find them informative, but since nowadays so many youtube videos have "SCIENCE" in their title, when it's just random people who have no academic background, is DeLauer "legit"?

Protein intake and body recomposition question

I've been trying to tweak my diet to get more protein in. Used to do keto, but need more protein so haven't been keto for some time now. A friend at work who's a body builder recommends a ton more protein than the oft-quoted "0.82g of protein/lb of body weight" as being adequate. I've been trying...

How the body treats fats, protein and carbs

Food packaging lists calories for the whole product and breaks them into calories from fat, from protein, from carbs and sugars how are these nutrients processed. Since the body does not normally burn protein should those calories not be counted.? Many thanks Ian

My experience with albuterex

My experience with albuterex is a lesson to be learnt. If theres one piece of advice I could give you all as a former addict (8 days clean), its that the recommended dosage should never be exceeded. Not only did Erowid fail to tell me about the dangers of street-grade albuterex, but it also...

Question Why is bread considered bad?

I am a week out from competition and 5 lbs over. Never cut weight before (thank you coach for deciding now to drop me a weight class). What foods should I be eating? Also I am a woman and I've noticed that cutting weight is a little harder for us. Thoughts greatly appreciated :)

Do carbs have addictive qualities?

I feel like more carb rich foods make me hungrier while pretty much the opposite can be said about fats and oils. Pork for instance, as a high fat food, I will have a craving for it, but if I eat that instead of chicken then I feel somewhat bloated after. Is it true that fiber elicits satiety? I...

Cinnamon good for you?

I've discovered that cinnamon is very high in antioxidants and is supposed to be very healthy. Doesn't cost much either. Just 95 cents for a small container at Aldi.
