Question Night time workout?

Due to being busy in the day i can only workout during the night, as long as im eating protein through out the day will it still be used to repair muscle, heard that you need protein straight after your workout??

If I have a couple beers WHILE my wings are cooking..then eat the wings..will the protein from the wings (which is a ton) get in my muscles so to speak? Heard the body metabolizes alcohol first soooo..??
