Competitive Powerlifters: Why would you move up in weight class

For the competitive Powerlifters on this forum, what reason(s) would you consider moving up in weight class? Recently I was asked to move up in weight class again. My first response was "why would I?" I'd like to hear your reasons. Opinions please as I am considering it.

Help: raising ass off bench to unrack weight

What’s good, I’m doing my first powerlifting meet in 4 weeks and I’m wondering if it’s legal to raise your ass off the bench to unrack the weight, as long as it’s on the bench during the lift. I’ve been doing this and I’m not sure if it’s illegal. I’m doing USPA btw

hot and cold recovery at home without a bath
