Sticky Thread Sticky: Your first meet.

This subject comes up often enough that we should simply accumulate a list of everything that should be done, and how everything should be handled, for the novice competitor. Please add things that I have forgotten, and when everyone is done, I will compile it into a comprehensive ‘how to’ guide if...

Which pull-up/chin-up variation is best for powerlifting?

My bodyweight chin-ups are weak, but I want to get them stronger. I usually do chin-ups because they are easier than pull-ups so I am working up to doing pull-ups, but I am a long ways away from that. I just tried bodyweight neutral grip pull-ups and I did pretty much just as many as thoughs as I...

Do you need to squat down fully on the sumo deadlift?

Hey! So I originally used to pull sumo similar to the guy in this video. I could pull much more like this and it felt a lot better but was told that it's not a proper sumo deadlift as I'm not squatting all the way down. Any advice to whether this guy is pulling wrong or it's completely fine and I...

Why is my Bench/OHP so weak?

Hey guys I'm pretty curious on why my overhead press and bench press are so weak.
