THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO START YOUR OWN WORKOUT LOG. This will eliminate the need for people starting new threads to post their prs. ...

This subject comes up often enough that we should simply accumulate a list of everything that should be done, and how everything should be handled, for the novice competitor. Newbie To Lifts - Went From 110lbs deadlift to 315 (OTR) in 5 months.

I wasn't serious overall. Took many days off here and there. Took Winter Break chill. Ate in surplus. But now I am serious. How do I progress from here on? I want more than a one time rep for 315. I am using a mixed grip. Should I focus on getting to 315 overhand now? Aiming for 400 by...

Competitive Powerlifters: Why would you move up in weight class

For the competitive Powerlifters on this forum, what reason(s) would you consider moving up in weight class? Recently I was asked to move up in weight class again. My first response was "why would I?" I'd like to hear your reasons. Opinions please as I am considering it.

If I do PRESSING twice a week, 21 sets each, then I will make gains twice as fast?

If I only need 48 hours to recover. Then theoritically will just resting 48 hours between a 21 set pressing session and going again allow me to progress basically twice as fast? I am on a three day custom program made for me by someone pretty well known, good and controversial, but I kinda wanna...

Is training the big 3 6 days a week too much?

I'm an intermediate lifter with top tier strength genetics. I've been training 6 days a week, hitting 90-105% of my loads ever session. Is this too much? I'm trying to go from a 405 dead to a 495 in a year and increase my squat and bench a lot too. I feel good but is less more in this situation? I...

Technique/Accessories for Atlas Stone Shouldering

Does anyone have any videos of/or technique advice for shouldering an atlas stone without tacky? Brian Alsruhe has one where he uses tacky, and a Martins Licis video used a tacky towel. Starting Powerlifting

Hey, I'm 20 years old, been an MMA fighter and a professional kick boxer in France. I started bodybuilding last year. I notice my gains are easy to achieve as I gain weight pretty fast. can powerlifting and bodybuilding be done at the same time?

I want to add a bit more mass in the some muslces, but I want to start powerlifting as well. Would it work if I did 2 days a week of powerlifting and 2 days a week of bodybuidling style routines? or would they just contradict each other and get no results?

Question Strongman training.

How does one train for strongman ? My gym just added a rogue log, it has a tire, and yoke, farmer carry handles, keg, and sandbags. Other than the Big 3 lifts what else would be thrown in a program and what should a basic program consist of for a 3 day a week routine ?

Can I build some good size lifting heavy with low reps?

Just wondering, will lifting heavy with low reps help me build size alongside strength. I do all my lifts 5 sets of 5 reps (except deadlifts). Here’s what my program looks like... Workout A: Squats (5x5) Bench (5x5) Barbell Row (5x5) Workout B: Squats (5x5) Overhead Press (5x5)

This probably isnt news to many, I just wanted to share the videos. It’s unreal how strong he is but how hard this stuff still is (I have no doubt he can be a top strongman, it’s just new to him. The pressing strength is certainly there). Hafthor is currently the best too so you’re comparing a new...
