Sticky Thread Sticky: Official PR Thread

I have decided to start a PR thread where everybody can simply post their PR's for any given exercise including things like strongman events and oly lifts of course. THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO START YOUR OWN WORKOUT LOG. This will eliminate the need for people starting new threads to post their prs. ...

Hello, I'm just recently looking into the sport of powerlifting. my last weigh in was 168lbs and my current lifts are 320lbs on bench, 405lbs on squat, and 380 on deadlift. I signed up for an upcoming competition in December and would like to know how competitive I am currently and how to get...

300 lb. increase with Deadlift in one year with this?

Hey guys, i'm 16 years old, relatively new, I haven't really been lifting weight very often these last 3 months or so but here's my plan. first my stats are: 5'11", 160. bench press: 215 (most i've done is 225 for 2 reps, but I haven't lifted in awhile, so i'd assume it's 215). squat: 215 (I...

weighted pistol squats

I'm asking the "strongmen/women" now: Are weighted pistol squats just a test of strength? Or can someone gain muscle mass from regular usage? Can they help increase sprinting acceleration or speed? Are the glutes and hamstrings activated as much as the quads in pistols?

Accidentally pulling more weight

I'm 14 years old, and I can deadlift 315lbs for one. One day I came to the gym and wasn't feeling so good for squats. I was bored and did deadlifts, though I should try 405 as a joke and pulled it. Now I can't pull it anymore. I'm back to 315, Why is that?

Deadlift Leverages Sumo vs Conventional

I've always been a numbers guy and don't like answers like "do whatever feels right bruh" Because you commonly see lifters with imbalances who squat uneven, but it "feels right" That's an issue needing to be addressed. So my question to you all you biomechanic savvy lifters out there is, are...

I want to be a powerlifter so bad, even though I am still dealing with a few nagging injuries. I am not at all confident that I will succeed. But I want this SO bad, that I have to keep trying. I can't turn back; I'm stuck on this path. The only way I can be successful is to believe that my...

Shoulder, bicep, and elbow pain when benching

Weak Squat/STRONG Bench?

I'm not entirely sure why, but I've noticed recently that I struggle to gain strength with anything lower body related like squats, even though I used to not train legs as intensely as my bench, but my bench is insanely strong for my bodyweight/age... I'm just wondering why because I've heard that...
