Wearing belt high up

What is the purpose of wearing a belt high up on the torso like you see some lifters such as Stan Efferding and KK do? I ask because I posted a topic about belts and deadlift and although I haven't had a chance to try it yet, when I put it on at home high up and got into a deadlift position it did...

Cool Will I be an elite powerlifter?

Can I get some of you guys opinions. I’m 16, 164, and deadlift 465 for a single. Also squat 375, and bench 265. Will I be an elite powerlifter by my 20s? Also will I be able to achieve a 700lb deadlift in my lifetime?

Switching From Powerlifting/Strength Focus to Bodybuilding / Aesthetics

Anyone here done this? In 1 month I'll be done with my Texas method and want to cut down and get really lean and focus on a more bodybuilding style program focusing on Aesthetics. Anyone here done that and can say what the process is like? What kind of programs worked for you? I'm guessing...

Question Squat and Deadlift Form Check

Hi all, in another thread I posted some videos of my lifts, https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=176139141, regarding my squat I was told that I wasn't dropping my hips enough, and in the deadlift that I didn't knew how to properly activate my back, so yesterday I dropped the weight a...

Good Powerlifting Numbers at 165?

To put it bluntly, powerlifting has peaked my interest. I have not been lifting for terribly long. I took a weight lifting class in high school taught by our school's football coach, and did that routine for about 2 years(though missing a decent amount time though with injuries), and for about...

Pinch Grip Training

Hi, I'm a rock climber with a PL background. I'm wondering if people can recommend me tools to strengthen my pinch grip, specifically a medium to fat pinch. In Rock climbing the only tools we really have for this are hanging from holds with pinch grips (so two holds, one for each hand) and...

Low-bar form check (video)

After doing high-bar squats for my whole lifting career, I’ve decided to finally experiment with low-bar squats. The first set in the video is a set of high-bar, the second set is a set of low-bar. I’ve been doing low-bar workouts (in addition to the normal high-bar ones) for a month and a half...

Hey Folks, Anyone out there had a torn bicep that they didn't have reattached? My left bicep tore (Badly) two years ago. The head appears to be approximately 2 inches further from my elbow than it should be. Doc said it was too late for surgery. I can feel it cramp up under stress from time to...

Is this a bicep tear?

I'm about to ask the dumbest question and I'M SORRY but I'm freaking out. I'm 20/f, only been "powerlifting" for a few months now, and pretty weak. I noticed a small bruise (fingertip size) in the middle of my bicep (front of my arm) 2 days ago after squatting. I'm thinking it might be from the...
