Not gaining weight / trying to stay motivated

5 months ago I was 5'9" and 150lbs.. Today I am 5'9" and 150lbs... I have always been lean, with pretty low bf%. I have been lifting each muscle group about twice a week, getting plenty of rest, eating a TON and taking protein/creatine supplements. I just can't seem to gain any size at all. ...

Visualization

We all know that visualizing the working muscle groups during a set is key to getting gains. Just out of curiosity, which method of visualization do you guys prefer? 1) Light Weight (Ronnie Coleman style) - this is where you picture the weight as being light as a feather and it almost just flies...

Gaining Motivation Back

My question goes out to anyone willing to offer solutions or advice. Basically, I used to be very, very motivated and not get complacent in my results. I could always look in the mirror and see room for improvement. Lately, subconsciously I feel myself getting a little more complacent because I...

Exclamation Who do you training for?

I think that there are way too many people in this world that train for others. They want to impress people and show off what they have done. However, in a lot of cases, this goes unnoticed or the individuals do not get the attention that they wanted. As a result...motivation goes downhill and you...

Sometimes health is a side effect to lifting.

My grandparents lift now. They started a couple of years back to offset what years of life can and will do to a body. Many of our counterparts who are advanced in years are working out now to maintain mobility, increase longevity, and to be part of a social setting. Though, there are exceptions,...

**A Must Read** "Iron and the Soul" by Henry Rollins

I believe that the definition of definition is reinvention. To not be like you parents. To not be like your friends. To be yourself. Completely. When I was young I had no sense of myself. All I was, was a product of all the fear and humiliation I suffered. Fear of my parents. The humiliation of...

We have all walked around with the feeling. The feeling that we could have trained a little harder, kept a little stricter form or perhaps added a little more weight to that weightlifting session. The feeling of not following the most beneficial program possible. The feeling of not eating a...

I'm a bit discouraged just thinking about it, which has pretty much stopped me from continuing to work out and eat... But the issue is, I start school in August full-time. And I will also be working. I don't see how I'm going to have time to even continue lifting and eating... And another...
