Something wrong with me, extreme stretch marks, no motivation

Hey guys, Just wondering if any of you guys have problems with severe stretch marks ? These have formed all over my body and made me absolutely despise my body image. It's hard to stay motivated to lift when my skin is so damaged and ugly. My stomach has them as well even though i'm 190 and...

In your opinion, who is better, Arnold or Ronnie? And why?

I ask this, not in a sense of who is a better bodybuilder, but who has the better physique. In their respective strengths, it seems they both kick each other's as*es. Arnold's chest, is yet to be beaten, meanwhile Ronnie's back is yet to be beaten. Arnold had that Greek god look.

Too tired to go to the gym after work

I'm nearly 33yo and I've been on and off on gym for the last few years. I'd go for 1 8 months, then stop for 3-4 then start again for 5 months etc...My record was about 1.5 year straight when I was around 27. The gym was on the ground floor and my job on the 4th floor :) . And the job was an IT...

Why do we do this to ourselves ?

Sometimes I wonder why I'm doing this. I've been eating 1800 calories for the past 8 months. Lately the weight has not came off for the past 4 weeks.it actually went up 3 pounds after one "bad" (2800 cals) each day weekend.its so easy to gain and so hard to lose. Why? I'm so on point. Eating 1900...

Tempted to give up

Hey all, lately I've been super confused with what to do regarding my fitness goals. I've been lifting for about a year and as I lift, I learn what works for me and what doesn't. Since about mid Feb. I decided to begin a bulk. Prior to that I was trying to lose fat but I felt like I didn't have...

Coping with lifes challenges

Through my life i've struggled with issues, just like everyone has, and just wanted to hear how you dealt with them. I fell into depression after a difficult time through high school, an abusive childhood then a failed marrige, substance and alcohol abuse. I finally saw a doctor after a suicide...

Unhappy Heard that someone who I thought was a gym buddy said I'm too gassed up for what?"

So I joined this neat old school looking gym near my house which is more convenient than traveling to the LA fitness across town. Been there over a month and I've been good gym pals with this one dude who i'd see only in the gym and nowhere else outside. We'd laugh, lift and bs like any typical gym...

How can I overcome the psychological challenge of lifting?

Hi there, I am a 22 year old male. I am 5' 9" & 167 lbs. I have very recently started working out and I have trouble finding that mental strength to push through the last couple of reps or sometimes even my last set. I then become frustrated which makes it even harder to accomplish. I know...

Angry How do you deal with losing a competition?

Today I lost a competition. Not a bodybuilding one, but for me a very important one indeed, where I put 50+ days/nights of work, admission fees, travel fees. The two of the three nominees were excellent as me, one mediocre at best. I have a question for you and I'm posting here because...

275: A number that will always be with me. My healthy way of life journey.

I’d be lying if I said this number didn’t still haunt me at times. It was my tipping point. As a senior in high school, I somehow let myself get to 275 pounds. It’s been a long, long journey (with ups and downs) but those digits are lodged into my conscience (for better or worse) to remind me to...

Cool How do you see yourself in your dreams

In my dreams I'm super lean and ripped. This is a reoccurring theme in most of my dreams. I was wondering why I see myself this way when dreaming and if anybody can relate. Maybe because lifting is pretty much my main hobby or because I desire to be lean and muscular. IDK I'm not super lean...

Hey, New member but I've been browsing for a year at least... Basically 75% of the time I'm proud with my body progress 25% of it I look "soft" usually when I wake up I assumed/hoped this is water retention for various reasons so it might seem totally irrational to let it demotivate me ...

Cool Do Progress Selfies Motivate You?

Been reluctant to post selfies, I think because on social media like FB I'd not consider it professional, classy, etc., unless I were a personal trainer or model. Or maybe I'm just modest. However, this forum is about body building so I wanted to ask: Do posting your progress shots help you? How...

How do you stick with it?

I've been struggling with my attitude in staying consistent. I find it difficult to stick with the exercise plan I've drawn up. Like for example the other morning, my alarm got me up at 6 but it was cold outside, I was still pretty sore my previous workout and I didn't get the full 7 or 8 hours...

Struggle is a gift!

Perhaps the struggle and pain that you are going through is not a punishment... but a gift. Because if it wasn't for that struggle and pain you would not grow into the person you are now becoming. A better, stronger and more durable you. Maybe the people that never struggle and never feel pain...
