Forum: Motivation

Tips for getting and staying motivated over the long-term, motivational pics and quotes, and more!

Found out my mentor uses steroids

So I have a mentor that got me started on this path with his "body transformation" picture of 8 months going from mild chub to what i'd call ripped and I used the picture to get motivated on my journey, and I kind of lost motivation when I found out. How can I change how I'm handling this?.

Smile You get out what you put in!

never give up guys and gals, there's lots of ways to stay positive and believe in yourself. All of you just motivated me to keep working out!

Hello everyone! I'm very new to the fitness and have only recently put down the books and picked up the weights. I'm in my early 20's, a bit short and a LOT scrawny. "Skinny fat" is a term I just learned! I've only been going to the gym for about 2 weeks and making all sorts of noobie mistakes...

Unhappy Feeling a bit better...but still pretty discouraged

I've been working out for about 3 years now. I've been really struggling since the beginning because of ignorance, not eating and ego issues. Happy to say I've made some decent progress on my squat and deadlift the past year after being stalled for so long. I've also put on some size too on my...

Talking Netflix Bodybuilding Motivation - Hidden Gem

I know everyone always watches Pumping Iron and Generation Iron when they are looking for bodybuilding motivation. Another great motivational movie/show on Netflix is the show Crazy Land's episode about Extreme Bodybuilding. It chronicles multiple bodybuilders, at all levels, as the lift, live and...

My story

Hey everyone, My name is Ahmed, but those close to me know me as Oz. I used to be obese and life wasn't too great for me. Every girl I had a crush on turned me down and most guys didn't want me to be seen around them. I have a long history of diabetes in my family tree. My doctor warned me that...

Puffy Nipples

I'm currently 19 years old and am having a problem with my nipples being pointy and puffy when I'm not cold. I joined the military a year ago, and before that I did not have this problem. When I graduated basic training I had lost 35 lbs and was very very skinny. Every since I graduated basic...

Need Motivation

So I have been predominately fat all my life. Now after working out for a few years (not too serious) I decided that I would have a strict eating plan and work out hard in the gym on a consistent basis. Ive always wanted to do something I have never achieved in my life before, which is to get cut...

Question What does it take to live a life of a legit warrior?

I got a question today - what does it take to live a life of a legit warrior? What needs to be done? The answer is simple… Be honest, look straight in the eyes, speak clearly, respect your relatives, get educated, train your body, and don’t let destructive thoughts into your mind. Do not be...

Fitness in the presence of the lazy

I'm moving back in with family and they are all either inactive or overweight. Has anyone found success when surrounded by people who don't eat right, lift, exercise, or anything of the sort?

Smile Doing whatever it takes!

DOING WHATEVER IT TAKES Sometimes you wake up and you feel like there's something more you need to be doing. But something's holding you back. You'll tell yourself, oh I can't, oh what if someone doesn't like it, oh what if I fail, this is too hard, he/she said I can't do it. I don't see any...

Thought this might yield some interesting answers. Feel free to be honest if it's just vanity, or if it's your kids, or whatever. I'm very curious. Maybe this will inspire some other people as well.

My view on self-deception

I want to share my thoughts about lies and dishonesty. Not being honest - it's not a good thing. I can understand when you need to lie in order to trick your enemy at war. I understand, but Can Not accept, when people lie for personal favor. What disturbs me is that most use the most stupid and...
