Fighting the doubts

My goal still is to go down to about 15%bf and then slow bulk forever. Every day a doubt creeps on me: "Will I spend months trying to reach 15% bf while loosing more and more muscle so that when I finally surrender and go back to little over maintenance calories and bulk I'll have gained nothing?"...
