Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Craigslist Thread (Round 3)

The last thread got up over 10,000 posts with too many people asking if they should pick up the bowflex down the street, so it's time to start a new one. Let's all keep our eyes open for the shake weights for .20/lb, strap on our Chucks, and speed away on our unicycles for those sweet pick ups....

Post Sticky Thread Sticky: Barbells - Everything you ever wanted to know

I don't think a thread like this exists for the barbell, so I wanted to start one. The Olympic barbell is one of the most important purchases one can make for their home gym. A barbell is the interface to the weight and although they may all look similar to an untrained eye, there are actually a...

Sticky Thread Sticky: The Cheapo Setup

Ok so let's go through the cheapest options for new equipment that you'd be willing to use for training. While we all dream of buying that custom built rig, or finding a solid piece of used commercial or vintage equipment to outfit your gym, many times we just want to buy something that's usable...

Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Power Rack Thread - August 2010 version

This is a collaborative effort from the equipment forum members. The 2008 edition has a lot of broken links and rather than keep that one going we decided to start a new one. First let’s have a few definitions to clear up some confusion. Squat Stands: These are probably the most useless...

Sticky Thread Sticky: Official Newbie Bowflex Search

So you are new and dumb enough to believe the Bowflex commercials, before you get flamed and negged into the red, use the damn search function to get the answer to "dude, should I be ignorant and think about getting a bowflex" OK, now if you post another thread, you get what is coming to...

Self Calibration? (DIY)

Posing suits for very small waists

Hay anyone know of where I can get a posing suit for a 25" waist ? I find small cut off the circulation to my thighs practically but a medium just about falls off my waist. Even the small around the waist is pretty giving.

Budget Home gym

Hi, the nearest gym is a long way from where I live so I think the best option is a home gym in my garage. The room is about 15*10ft so there's enough space as long as I buy the correct equipment. I'm also a student so I don't have a lot of money btw. This is what I've already got in there: ...

Are these things legit? I got some nagging shoulder problems like popping of my acromion and some imbalances. Nothing painful, yet. I do basic rotation stuff with light dumbbells and bands. Wonder if a shoulder horn would take it to the next level. Anyone own these?

Farmers Bars

I have a pair of farmers bars I grabbed off craigslist but have a few issues I'm hoping to solve with my next upgrade. 1) The bars were clearly made by some dude in his garage and my tight fitting bumpers and change plates don't fit. 2) My wife uses the bars, but being that shes only using...

Cool Gloves or other chalk alternative for grip and keeping hands dry

I have about 4 sets of 18"/24" dumbbells which cover all my various exercises (DB squats, deads, curls, military press, etc).
