Forum: Workout Equipment

All about equipment and iron!

Question 6 or 7 foot standard barbell?

I am still a novice lifter and I currently have dumbbell handles with 100lbs of standard plates. I feel like I will need an upgrade soon so I am planning on buying a standard barbell + two 25lb plates. I am choosing a standard barbell over an Olympic one because I am still a novice ~ can't lift too...

Hyper-Extension Bench Old School Mentality

Do Hyper Extension Benches hold any true value in a strength routine that cannot already be provided by a GHD? I see these were highly praised in a lot of old school workout routines (Including Reg Park's 5x5) and this was before the GHD/GHR were ever really mentioned (Or maybe they didn't exist...

Marrs Bar -- New Type (?) of Safety Squat Bar (SSB)

I have a Crepinsek that I love, and I'm not sure this new style is "necessary", but it does look intriguing if nothing else. Lots of instagram posts on here to show you how it looks/performs: https://www.instagram.com/_marrs_bar/?hl=en Apparently coming out in March?

Flex Hack Squat Ball Bearing Size?

Have an old Flex Hack. Pretty sure I need to replace the ball bearings as the carriage does not slide smoothly on the guide rods anymore. Tried cleaning it but to no avail. So, does anyone happen to know what size ball bearings this piece would take if i were to replace them? Thanks!

The EliteFTS American Camber Bar review

It’s been a while since I bought a piece of equipment, I’ve had my eyes on this bar for a while and decided to snap it up when I saw it on sale for $260 + free shipping (normally around $300 plus shipping). Those of you who know me in here, I am a self professed equipment whore and I will buy...

Vintage Iron Thread

Hi All, I read a post a few weeks ago in which SnowOne and DonForeman suggested a vintage iron thread to discuss/identify old plates. I wasn't part of that discussion, but I see that no one has created the thread, and I have a couple of plates that I could use some help identifying, so I figured...

Affordable Power Rack

I'm looking for an "affordable" power rack, let's say less than $500 for the rack alone. One thing, I want to make sure it's modular and that I'll be able to add a lat pulldown system and cable crossover to it down the road. Has anyone ever used HulkFit? I've never heard of it, but it has...

Should I reposition my gym or is it good as is?

The door is basically where the picture starts and on the right side. I had originally planned to have the Powertec facing towards the door instead of the window. My Review on the Powertec Attachment accessories

I now have 4 out of the 5 attachments (not including the lat tower). The only one I don't have is the dip attachment. Here are my thoughts on them. Leg Press- This one is a beast.
