Sticky Thread Sticky: [new PTs] Wage, percentage and rental

Attached is a rental contract from Goodlife here in Australia . The rest we can't see as the interviewing manager (illegally) wouldn't let the potential "employee" take the rest with them to examine at home (or even worse, let a lawyer see it) and shredded it in front of them. You can see why...

Thumbs down Overweight Gym Trainers

This is a somewhat sensitive topic to a lot of trainers because your appearance doesn’t necessarily take away from your knowledge when it comes to health and fitness. So the argument can be made that you can be an incredible trainer while at the same time be 100 pounds overweight. I understand...

I see it so much in the gym, preacher curl machine and other useless exercises (exercises for biceps, isolation tricep exercises) is almost always used by like..at least...6-7 trainers with a large variety of clients over time. I've heard similar things from other people from other gyms. I also...

This should be a fun thread. I've noticed I break down and think of everyday things differently since training. You know you're a personal train when you assess random people's posture. When having sex you think "damn she has good hamstring flexibility" When you are excited to go to your "job"

I find it funny how some people pay PT's who dont even look like they workout.

Trainer Appearance

Judging on appearance, could the way a pt looks possibly get them more clients? I'm talking about someone who looks like a bodybuilder opposed to someone who just looks healthy.

Why do so many personal trainers teach people improperly?

It makes me sick to my stomach. Time and time again there's some scrub who just became "certified" teaching people improper training methods.
