New PTs: hire a PT

We got a lot of people doing their practical placement at my old big gym. I gave them good advice, most looked over my shoulder at the hot chick or guy across the room instead, or examined their nails. I personally supervised the placements of about 40 students, there were only 3 who I trusted to...

Do you recognize clients on social media?

I personally wouldn't want to be recognized, and would like to go about my own business so I tend to not put too much client info on social media. IDK whether they would want the attention (i never want attention) and some can be self critical at times if their deadlift isn't the top of the studio....

How did you decide?

Hi all! I am new here & I am just beginning the research process of PT certifications. Other than comparing online & calling around to various gyms, how did you decide which company to go with? Or if you hold more than one certification, how did you decide which company to go with first? There...

Getting started

Hi I'm a UK based person, have been training for nearly a decade. I also have gym buddied and coached some people to better places. I'm one of those gym rats who studies the subject, reads books, watches videos and put into practice myself anything that I can. To say I'm passionate about it is...

MCL Injury or Leg Tightness?

In a football game about 3 weeks ago my knee locked (due to getting hit) and then twisted inward. Immediately I felt pain, but after a minute I was able to finish the game with no pain. However when I woke up my MCL was stiff, it hurt to go upstairs, and it felt weird whenever I walked, but it was...

What does an average weekday/weekend schedule look like for PTs?

Looking to start being a PT. Was wondering what the average weekday/weekend schedule is like. Do most of your clients train early, afternoon, or night? Do you mostly have busier days on weekdays than weekends? Are weekends usually much less busier? Do you ever work weekends late night?
