Any tips for managing a larget deficit?

Once I geto to around 13-14% I find it hard to cut at -750/day. Things I've tried include IF and lots of water, but it is the lack of energy that just makes me feel lousy as the cut goes long and my bodyfat near 12%. Any tips during that stage? Or does everyone revert to -500/day?
