Sticky Thread Sticky: DON'T LOOK PAST the BASICS

From what I've been reading in this forum recently, most posters here are, for some reason, missing the basics of fat loss, and instead, are looking for some magic bullet, or worse, putting their faith in some TV or youtube guru, or some online 'trainer' who's only trying to scam their $$$. ...

Hey guys. I started losing weight over a year ago at 220 pounds, 5'9". Just hit 155 pounds this morning. I've been lifting more seriously for 4 months now, but its hard to progress much in my current deficit. I'm anxious to start my first bulk, but my body fat seems to still be very high. I'm...

Help please!!

Hey all! I'm in desperate need of advice (as you can tell by the title xD). Basically, I have had enough of being insecure and ashamed of my body so I have started my weight loss journey. However, my problem is that I am SUPER afraid of loose skin to the point that I almost don't even wanna lose...

I'm gonna do this for life..

Long time reader while (sitting on my ass feeling sorry for myself). I'll make this as short as possible. I'm a 41 year old guy and weigh 230 / 6ft. 2 weeks ago I watched and helped my mom put my father in a nursing home. He has Alzhemer's. Nothing was worse then watching my mother closing that...

Am I strong / big enough to cut?

I have been bulking for around 12 months the last 6 following PHAT routine. My lifts are 80/100/140kg B/S/D. I was hoping to get to around 100/120/160 before I started to cut but I am feeling a little too fat. I have been told that I am not strong enough & that I would probably look like s**t if I...

BIA scan and body fat percentage

I'd love some tips on how to reduce my body fat percentage reading on an upcoming BIA scan. It's held in the morning so I'm a bit unsure of how to prepare. From my understanding, the things that will show a reduced body fat percentage reading are: - carb loading and Creatine supplement for...

Cardio From my Work Job

Hey guys, in two weeks I will start my 2nd cutting cycle ever. I work 8 hour shifts about 4 times a week, and I must say they...

Fat burner at the end of cut or from the 1st day

Would it be more beneficial to use a fat burner near the end of the cut, when a fat-loss plateau is reached or can I use it from the beginning without getting used to it, thus decreasing its effectiveness?
