Identifying Metabolic Crashes

Hey there, So I've been dieting for a little over a year now. I started at 201lbs @ 19% BF and I'm at 170.3lbs @ 13.2% BF now. My goal is to hit abs. Yes I've plateaued, but I've known that to break the plateau I have to introduce a refeed. I've done this successfully before, but it doesn't...

Got my DEXA scan, need a sane approach to weight loss.

Got my DEXA scan and it is not pretty I am 5'7" and 290 lbs and my lean mass is only 139 pounds. DEXA scan says my RMR is 1701 calories a day. Would lifting heavy 4 days a week and eating roughly 1600 calories a day be reasonable for good weight loss ?

Probably the only guy in the world who's physique has gotten worse from losing fat

A while ago I decided to finally cut for the first time since I started lifting. My body fat was uncomfortably high -- my butt was getting really large, in particular -- so I figured it was time. I was NOT expecting how little fat had been stored in my glutes relative to the rest of my body. I...

How many calories?

So I started lifting in February 2020. Just started because someone asked me how much I could bench and I had no idea. I had been working out with dumbells for about 2 years off and on before that. So bought a barbell and some weights. Last year I focused on gaining strength. This year I want to...

Cardio in the mornings

Would cardio in the mornings be a good way to lose fat. I am muscular and don’t have much fat but to sort of cut and slim down the fat from my bulking. Would this make me lose muscle however?

Deficit or Surplus?

Hi all, Fairly new to the gym. I used to go on and off for the past few years but never took it seriously but I am trying to change that. Recently I've dropped to about 154lbs, at 5"10.4 (lost about 30lbs), and I've been told I'm 17.5 percent body fat (fairly recent pictures of my physique on...

Hi, I am relatively lean on most of my body, however the lower belly and back fat is and always has been a pain in the ass!! I am currently on a 300-400 calorie deficit (eating 1800-1900 cals but I suspect that I miss calculate a bit). Lift 5 times a week. Easy cardio(walking/spinning) 30 min...

Question: Mens Physique Athletes doing cardio?

Hey everyone, I have a question about doing cardio. I know lots of bodybuilders and competitors that do cardio on a daily basis to get that ripped/tight look on stage. What is the point of that if you're already in a deficit? If the weight is going down already based off of my metabolic rate...

Arrow I just blew out hardcore

About 2000 calories up on today or more. You can do 2 pounds of real fat in a day if you try believe me. That 3500 thing is bull****. I'll be at least two pounds up tomorrow and they won't come off if I eat at maintenance tomorrow. The body constantly loses and stores fat
