Painful arms/shoulders

I've recently started training for weightlifting with a coach and am enjoying it immensely. My lifts are coming on well, however I am having large amounts of pain in the muscle at the top and side of my arm that connects to the shoulder. I'm thinking it may be a flexibility issue and I will just...

High Bar Squat Problem

In Weightlifting, what is the optimal placement of the feet relative to the bar? Bar above the middle of your foot? or bar over where the toes meet the rest of the foot?

Knee sleeves on Olympic lifters?

I am not an Olympic lifter, but I hope to learn and incorporate it into my overall training soon. Is this done for the same reason as powerlifters use knee wraps but it provides freer...

Scraping Shins

Ive really been ripping my shins up on the snatch lately. I can correct it but it means starting with my hips higher than i "should." Also, when starting with my hips higher I have the problem of over rotating my shoulders on the catch and it makes for some pretty weird sensations in my shoulders....

SN and C&J critique

what can I improve on? on the C&J my jerks are really holding me back. Anything above 90kg is a crapshoot whether I will make it or not. I understand that I need to dip and drive straight up and down and that my feet need to hit the floor at the same time (or back foot slightly before front),...
