Since a Fast is broken by eating carbs, does meat break a fast or no?

Full fat milk vs skimmed

What do you go for? I've always gone for skimmed because of less fat in the title for one, and the taste doesn't bother me. My brother is convinced that it doesn't make a difference, that full fat milk won't make you fat. After googling he seems to be right? I still wouldn't drink it though.
