Chicken and brown rice

I know chicken and brown rice is good to eat when working out. Is it good for cutting? I know the whole idea of cutting is to be in a caloric deficit but do some people eat chicken and brown rice for their meals when cutting?

Wink Weigh Chicken Raw?

Hi, So I am cooking chicken and weighed it in raw at 570grams which is like 20oz. I wanted to see how much it weighed after cooking it and the scale jumped to 370grams. :-| I've read your suppose to weigh it raw because the water evaporates but it still hurts to see it weigh so much less.

Wink Since BCAAs are said useless what would be a good zero calorie fruit drink mix?

I’ve read on forums and the general idea is that BCAAs are useless if you get enough of the right foods which most of us do (yeah I’m sure there’s a few of you who would argue that) but overall what’s a good tasting drink mix that’s not any more unhealthy than a BCAA mix. I want something cheaper...

Question Keto vs eating carbs when gaining muscle and about testosterone

So I've been reading that low carb diets lead to low testosterone and that carbs are also muscle sparing. If the keto community argues that ketones replace glucose from carbs for energy, does that mean that testosterone no longer drops and ketones are now muscle sparing? Which one is it?

According to a calorie calculator I need 2724 calories to maintain weight. If I add 300 calories for a bulk I am at 3024 calories. I added 500 cals of (mainly) carbs (no extra activity) for 3 weeks and this happened.

Literally nothing in terms of rate of gain on the scale. I guess I might be one of those hyper-responders to caloric surplus, but after gaining at a slow rate (about .25-.5lb per week) consistently, adding in 500 calories from mainly carbs per day in no way changed the average weight gain. I...

Should I be worried about low calorie-high sugar foods?

My goal is fat loss, and the information I’ve gotten is that it doesn’t matter what you eat, just be in a caloric deficit. Sometime I eat snacks that contains 100 calories but has 15g of Sugar or more. Is that a big deal?
