Gaining muscle at maintenance

Hi Guys. I have been training for almost 2 years. First year I went from 25% body fat to 15% with a caloric deficit plan. This year I started to "lean bulk". I have been trying to eat at a 200 caloric surplus to avoid the excess of fat. To my surprise I haven´t got any fat during this period (4...

Strong-fat (I think). Calorie deficit, surplus, or maintenance?

Most of the nutrition q&a that I'm finding is for young skinny-fat kids looking to bulk up, but I'm 37 years old, 250 lbs, around 25% bf (probably). I've always been a big guy: 18" wrists, 11" ankles. My fatceps are 17.5" cold, and my chest is 49". So I'm thinking I'm what the kids are calling...

Nice, cheap little egg cooker

Hey, I always see these things at the store for $1.99 so I decided to get one. It's a Microwave Egg Poacher, and it does the job pretty damn well. I can poach two eggs in my 1000w microwave in about a minute! No grease.

Do you really need to EAT a calorie surplus to gain muscle?

There seem to be two opposing views on how much you need to eat to gain muscle : 1) You must eat a calorie surplus to gain muscle. 2) You only need to eat enough calories to get through your workouts comfortably, if you need more calories to build muscle your body will take it from fat. ...
