Long term impacts of gaining/losing weight over short time period

I would expect that things like cholesterol and blood pressure would rise short term, while you gained the weight, but...

Post moderate blood sugar levels bulking

Does regulating your blood sugar levels benefit you in terms of bodybuilding? I know eating fast acting carbs in the morning and post-workout is benefitial, but does it make a difference having stable blood sugar levels throughout the day(expect those instances) benefit you more than not minding it?
