Weight of chicken breast, before or after cooking?

Stupid question, but I'm curious: So I've been trying to eat around 8oz of chicken with each meal, I weigh the chicken breast before and it's about 8oz, and just for fun I thought I'd weigh it when it was cooked and it was a bit over 4oz. Should I be going by the pre-cook or post-cook weight?
