Not eating before a morning workout...

So if im going to go to the gym early in the morning, is it ok to not eat before i go and eat when i get back? My goal is to gain mass. So if its not ok to not eat before a morning workout can i eat something light like a piece of fruit and a protein shake?

Calorie content in home made banana bread

If I weigh all ingredients and tally up the nutrition facts for everything then cook the bread and get the total cooked weight then divide the original total calorie content by the weight will that give me accurate per serving info?
