Why do users on this site promote broscience?

The science on muscle growth is pretty clear. You need to a) Work your muscles in the gym and b) be in a positive nitrogen balance.

Waterfasting increased protein and water percentage %!!

I use 3 different scales that measure the percentage of the following in my body: Water% + 4.2% Protein % + 1.5??? Muscle mass% -1.5 lb Fat% - 2.1 Visceral fat% -2 I lost 21lb on 15 days waterfasting All the scales have similar outcome.

Confused newbie

Sugar free Mints = guilt free?

I’m sure you’ve all seen the lastest crazy in sugar free mints, “alcohol sugars”. These mints claim no sugar and tiny calories, are these mints actually as good as they seem? Does this alcohol sugar just turn into normal sugar? Should I stay away from these while I try to lose weight?
