Are vegetable oil's omega 6 fats the only time these fats are unhealthy?

I used to think excess omega 6 in general was bad, but I've seen several studies and omega 6's wikipedia page where it looks like I only have to worry if the source is vegetable oil. Does this mean sources like nuts and natural peanut butter are okay, despite their high omega 6:3 ratio?
