How much sodium is too much?

I eat 6-8g on a daily basis. I do also drink a lot of water. Would this affect my body composition negativity (abdominals) and/or would it beneficial cutting my sodium to 2-4g? I'm still in the road to 10% BF and I don't know if this would **** with me. Any experiences guys? Thanks!

Does protein requirement standards need to change or does it take this into account?

If 20% to 30% of protein you consumed is used to help digest it then don't you need more protein? So if you consume 800 calories worth of protein or 200 grams of protein a day then you will only be really using 560 - 640 of those calories. It doesn't really affect low amount of protein intake...
