Weight training at 50yo

39 had enough of being the fat one

Should I stick with the program or try something else

Background. 44 yo, 6'8" 270lbs. T2 diabetic. Been lifting for 8 months. Starting Strength for 3 months then Fierce 5. I eat a lot but have to watch due to the diabetes. anyone have a stent?

Curious if anyone in here has a stent in their heart and if so how long before you were working out 100% again? and did you start off small and work your way up or go full bore? I just got a stent in my left ventricle and I havent hit the gym since but Im itching to get back on the weights.

I have read about DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) but what i am interested in is delayed fatigue. I am 46 going on 47 this year and recently I been experiencing fatigue only after 36-40 hours or more. for example I worked out on Tuesday and Wednesday, and Thursday, my rest day I felt fine....
