Sciatica- can I ever train legs again?

Been suffering sciatica, agony, it comes and goes... any hip hinge movement or hamstring exercise sets it off though. Done some basic research on what exercises I should avoid - basically any leg exercises and also bent Row. As an ex powerlifter I lived for leg day. So its pretty depressing...

Gym safety during COVID-19

I have compiled some of the most important points regarding gym safety during the COVID-19 epidemic. As well all know gyms, pools and bars have been closed during the pandemic and the major reason was given as high likelihood of transmission. With the new Delta variant surging in the U.S and now in...

I just turned 50. I've worked out for years off and on, and never really have been skinny nor muscular. Never understood it. I've tried tons of cardio and gotten nowhere. I've tried no cardio and didn't get anywhere. With gyms open again, I'm back to trying to get fit. 6'1, Body fat 29%,...

Smile weight gain after leg day

Each morning I record my weight as part of my exercise and food log. On the two days following leg day I gain one or two lbs. I assume this is inflammation/water weight. Does anyone else have this happen?

Return to Gym After 13 years - Bad DOMS

Just a background, I started lifting at 14 years old. I lifted regularly until I was about 30 years old. No stranger to the gym or proper technique, or DOMS. After having kids and career, my gym attendance fell off. Now I've returned to the gym at 43 years old after about 13 years off. I am...

I'm a mess - Advice needed

Urge to stand and inability to sit down is due to...?

In my younger years. I would have moments where I would experience a strong urge to stand and an inability to sit. What would cause this? Growth hormone? I've also experienced moments where my spine would feel like a steel rod. Any ideas?

2-3 day fast during deload week?

Been about 3 months since I had a week off. Need to cut some, and wondered if anyone had experience fasting during a deload week, or fasting into a cut? Have heard you don’t lose muscle during a short fast, and it can also lead to higher production of hgh? Any ideas on this topic would be...

Am I doing this right?

Hey all new to the forum. Bit about me, dude, just turned 35, 6’4 204lbs. Kinda skinny fat. Worked out fairly consistently 10 years ago, then “life” set in and lost my motivation. Covid hit and my wife and I started working from home and bought a foldable rogue rack, a barbell and some weights so...

40 year old male here. 5'10", 155 lbs. I started weightlifting about a year ago. I've built a decent amount of muscle, which I am satisfied with. But I also have a little body fat that I want to get rid off. My goal is to get cut. I've been told that doing rigorous cardio at this point...

So, I moved a lot of furniture over summer, making me very tired, so I put off working out; not smart, I know. Now I started a stretch of 3 week holidays, I thought I better do something. So I made a exercise plan, and have been doing it for about 2 weeks. I have been looking for a good, yet...

Deadlifts after squats

The big debate deadlift on back day or leg day? Well for the first time I did deadlifts right front squats, it’s a match made in heaven, for me at least. Loved how it felt and especially the day after.
