On this day BLK00TJ is competing at the 2015 Mid-Atlantic State Championships and Military Nationals. I've competed alongside this lifter and his squat is nothing short of elite. Yesterday I had a few surprise PR's in the gym (sorry no pics or vids) Barbell Bench 265 x 6, Dumbells 110's x 9,...

My weight loss video with some posing at the end

I posted progress pictures on here when I finished my cut at the end of 2019. At that time I had also recorded a few videos of some poses but never shared them anywhere. This video summarizes my weight loss / fitness journey in 27 seconds with a few poses at the end and figured I would share it...

I think I’m old

I am 47, used to be young dumb and full of cum. Now I’m beat up and fat. I think I am at a point where I can go one of two ways. I used to be able to grab myself by the bootstraps but I have very slowly faded away. I need a belief and a vision. I used to love to lift, not so much cardio...

Any other UKcels struggling with lockdown?

Gyms have been shut here in the UK since 4th Jan (almost 2 weeks). During the first lockdown I was OK. I was determined not to lose what I'd worked hard to gain and got creative, doing pull ups, weighted push ups, flipping tyres in a field, etc. This time around though, I can barely find the...

PR incoming

I’ve been chasing this one for awhile and finally hit it tonight. Not the cleanest press but it went up. With a 270lb bench around the corner, a 315lb current squat and a 455lb current deadlift I think I’ll die a happy man. yt-EdtAfXlk

What are your thoughts regarding going to failure?

Hey all - What are your thoughts regarding going to failure? (failure defined as not being able to do another rep with proper form). Of course there's lots opinions on the web (Dr. Mike Israetel says no need to because it will negatively impact your next workout so leaving 2 reps in the tank is...

Knuckles get cut open from push ups??

Hello, I am in my early 50s and have experience working out since I was 35. I had a routine that involved push ups back in june-September and my knuckles were always dry and bleeding with cuts on both hands. I switched my routine in September and eliminated push ups just to change up my routine...

UK gyms reopen maybe July?

No date but rumour is gyms in UK reopen July if all is well. The uk's trade association for gyms ukactive has guidance which is fairly vague https://www.ukactive.com/covid-19 but does have specific things such as workout towels banned, 3m squared per person and obvious things about cleaning....

Finally gaining

Ate at 3500 cals for well over a month to gauge maintenance. I wasn’t gaining nor was I losing. So I bumped up to 4000 a little over a month ago and have put on 5 pounds. Started at 183ish now sitting at 188-189. Lost some definition but there has to be some muscle gain involved. Current pics...

Thumbs up Weightlifting App

I was wondering if there was any interest in a good app for weightlifting/Bodybuilding. Right now the apps available are lacking. The app I was thinking about would give you a 5 days of workouts (Chest, Shoulders, Back, Arms, Legs) for the week. Then on Sunday new exercises would be setup for...

Stem Cell treatment this weekend

Hey all, just turned 47 this week, so definitely qualify in the 35+ group. The week before I turned the clock, I had my first stem cell treatment. Thought provoking questions regarding genetics

So I’ve been doing some thinking on genetics and pose a few questions. 1. 2 guys of the same frame, height and age (say 20yo) follow a perfect diet and routine fleshed out by a world class coach to a T. Rest/recovery is on point for both. Guy 1 ends up with a 46” chest, 17” arms, 26” quads and...

Struggling with what to do at the moment

Hello! As you can see, I am more of a lurker than a poster (apologies for this) but I must pick some brains. Short version, out of lockdown (currently in Tier 3 if you are UK based) and post Christmas where I always relax my eating, I find myself fatter than I would like but also with less...
