Arrow Sticky Thread Sticky: The Official Ov35 Bench Press Thread!

May as well throw this one out there so we have all 3 major lifts represented. :) Open to ideas as to how things should run but here's how I see it..... - must be Flat BB Bench only (using an OLY bar). No Incline Bench, Decline Bench or DBs. - Raw lifts only. No shirted benching. (wrist...

On maintaining and developing good posture as you age.

Any good tips for maintaining and developing good posture as you age? Having lost 35 pounds over the last two years seems to have helped more than anything. Websites are full of advise on how to sit up correctly but I get the feeling that it becomes automatic more than something a person as to...

Am I doing too much or not enough in the gym?

I a 39 year old male with limited time and have just started this new program. I go to the local gym and work out on my lunch break during the week and only have 20-25 minutes of actual time in the gym. My goal is to gain some strength and just stay in shape. I have a desk job, so I do a lot of...

Split squat.

Got this video off the Exercise section, thought it would be interesting to the over 35's. I love the BSS, it has worked wonders for me, this vid explains the science behind it.

Fish oil - how much?

I was reading another thread on what supps everyone takes and many take fish oil. After reading some articles on fish oil I have come to find that it really doesn't benefit you until you are in the 2500-3000 mg range. What mg do you take per day and is this true on the amount you must take to get...

Post Surgery Advice

I am going in next week to have my gallbladder removed and I am pretty bummed about having to stay out of the gym for a while. I have made a lot of progress in the last year, and I know in the long run I'll be fine, but I want to minimize loss of gains. Currently, I am cutting and am at about 190...

Continue with Fierce 5 or change?

I've been training for a good few years, but decided to change to the fierce 5 in September. I've used the last year to cut down from 106kg (233.5lbs) to 88kg (194lbs) and now want to bulk until 95kg. Should I continue with the fierce 5? Or should I change over to something else? Understandably...

So yeah...I've been using Turmeric Powder recently in my foods...putting it in damn near everything to be honest...oatmeal, shakes, over meat/veggies/rice etc. Definitely has a thermogenic effect...I can feel's like a very low key niacin flush w/o the gay itchy pins 'n needles feel. ...

Upper body is unbalanced between the right and left side

I had surgery when I was a wee lad, maybe a few months old, for a cyst on my left side by the scapula. My mother's memory is a little hazy, but she thinks the cyst was not very deep. Anyway, the surgery occurred in 1958-59. Who knows how they performed surgery back then. So I started doing...

32” jeans wtf

I can’t ever remember having 32” waist jeans, last time must have been as a pre-teen. When I held them up I thought I’d never get into them, they looked like kids clothes. Just the ramblings of a former fat guy in a healthy body, still with a fat guys perspective.

Vids from squat session today

I've wanted a 3 plate squat for many years now. Every year I've said 'this is the year' but nope. I really do think 2018 is the year though. Current program has me doing singles every 4th week. 3 sets of singles with last set being AMRAP. In November when I started GST, I started at 205...
