Squat - Form check

This was my last set this morning of 225lbs for 6 reps. How's the depth? I feel like I lean over once I get to heavier weight and too much folding at the hips?

Bulking beyond 25% Body Fat

I am 36 years skinny fat male. Working out in gym for 3 years running. My height is 174 cms (5'9 ft) When I started I was 93 kgs (204 lbs.) My trainer told me to do cardio and lose fat. I reached 74 kgs (162 lbs) after 7 months. However, I looked sick and horrible (lack of muscle mass or tone with...

Three week break after tennis elbow flare up - continue bulk or cut?

I was close to the end of my first bulk when tennis elbow flared up in my left arm. I’ve taken a break for almost three weeks to do some PT and it’s finally subsided. I had set a goal of hitting 180 pounds and was 4-5 ponds short of my goal when I stopped hitting the weights. I’m planning on...

What meals do you pack for work

We spend 8 hours a day at work. Some even more. So what do you guys put in the lunch box. Is bread a complete no-no? Protein shake is at the top of my list. What else is recommended or not recommended. I'm on a calorie deficit to get rid of belly and chest fat. Breakfast is normally oats....

Over 65: muscle gain?

Who has experienced muscle gain--size and strength--at over age 65? I'm starting to workout after some past health problems, and I'm anxious to get strength and hardness back; but I'm wondering if any gain in muscle size happens with older people. I haven't started the typical shrink and wrinkle...

Novice returning to weightlifting, a few questions

Hi there, I got into weight lifting about 3 years ago and did it for 6 months. Loved it and was hoping to do it long term, but I blew my knee out in a work injury and had to stop. Finally got the ok from my doctor to go back to weight lifting, unfortunately during this time I gained an insane...

Timing your protein intake after a workout

One of the things that the old pros like Arnold, Zane, Haney, etc, used to repeat was that your body could metabolize around 25-30 grams of protein every 2-3 hours. So, after a workout, when your body is wanting protein for repair, eating as close to 30 grams of protein every 3 hours is the goal....

18 months of progress over 6 pictures

Some of these pics I had shared before but I am having fun with the app to put photos together in a collage. Unlike my "end of cut" and "end of bulk" pics these were all done in the bathroom mirror without a bunch of shots, no pump, and no fake tan. This first pic from 18 months ago I had...

Squats are a primary movement that I do. I want to keep doing them. I've asked trainers and gym bros to watch my form and give tips all to no avail. What is happening is I get LH groin pain as soon as I get up around 60kg- I know my legs are stronger than this but it's a sharp pain and it...

Cold Showers

Back Muscle Tingling. Wat mean

I pulled my serratus a few weeks back and have stopped working out until it heals up. Went to a masseuse and she did a good job and it’s no longer sore but now it tingles when I bend at certain angles. I’ve tried stretching it the last several days but not sure if it’s helping or aggravating the...

Finding the time in your work schedule for more cardio

I'm trying to lose a lot of weight (45 lbs. worth), and I've been walking on the treadmill lately. On days I workout, I walk two miles; days I don't workout, I try and do three miles (I don't walk every day, but most days). I would love to exercise more and accelerate my weight loss, but I only...

Due to knee issues, about the only leg exercise I can do without knee twinges is leg extensions, and those with care. So I thought I would try some deadlifts. I figured that although they weren't solely a leg exercise, they would be enough of one to work them. I did them yesterday for the first...
