Total Weight or Lean Body Mass when calculating protein needs?

What do you guys use? Total weight or LBM? I'm about 17% BF right now at 168 pounds, if I was looking to consume 1 gram per pound it's a difference of 168 grams verses 139 grams... pretty significant. What do you guys go with? Thanks!

Dead lift grip strength
