Squat form check

Just started incorporating squats a couple of months back. Right now I'm focusing on form, as opposed to trying to add any significant weight. Would you be able to provide some feedback? I know I need to go lower, but I cannot do it at this point in time. I feel like I'm already going very low and...

Between Meals

I am a 5 foot 10 around 165 pound 38 year old man. It's been tough getting down to that 155 mark. What types of food do you guys eat between meals that actually get you full? I currently do nuts. But it seems like my stomach don't like nuts in large quantities. Looking for ideas.

Under recovered

Hi all!! So I started training at the start of April and am happy with my progress - improvements every session and so on... including visible differences. I do 3 full body per week. Lately when the 3rd workout comes around I'm feeling smashed but have still performed and beat my last...

Jim Stoppani Comes Home To Bodybuilding.com

Did not expect to see this happen after all the shenanigans that went on in the last year. So we'll see some new 'shortcuts' one would imagine. Wonder how Kris and Lane feel about this :D

Coconut oil revisisted

I wonder if anyone is using this or if it was just a fad that died out. I started taking it in the mornings a few weeks back as I have trouble eating anything sensible so early in the mornings (6am) before work. I take 20g in a strong coffee to wash down the 10g of cod liver oil that I also take....

how crazy a goal?

I tend to operate best in a goal oriented mindset. I was just able to reach my first goal since lifting again. I am taking a month off of bench work, to hopefully get my shoulder right. I was able to train around it, (singles, grip change) and luckily my desire didn't cause worse damage. I have...

Question Bit ashamed of my body to be honest.

Hi. I'm 39 now and enough is enough. I've never been able to do 1 pull up. I'm really physically weak, always have been, it's time to change. I am mentally strong and have great concentration when I'm on it.

To stronglift or not to stronglift? That is the question.

Hi all, After a layoff from the gym from surgery I decided to return to basics and started the stronglifts program. (I train 3 days a week). I have been on this program for around 8 weeks. My lifts have progressed nicely. Squats (proper form. Lol) and oh Press have surpassed my previous bests....

5x5 question

Hello, new here and got a question. I have been doing the 5x5 workout for the last 10 or 12 weeks now. My squats are approaching 250. I have yet to fail but my form is starting to collapse under the heavier weigh. Should I continue to increase weight or treat compromised form as a failed set? My...

Knowing it's a lifestyle

Finally realised this is now a lifestyle. I've only been hitting the gym solid for 9 months, learning as times gone by. What has led me to the realisation that it is now part of my lifestyle is having got a back injury, not due to the gym, and I'm hating not being able to lift this week. ...

This is actually for my elderly father who pulled something in his back during his workout. I've been giving him ibuprofen, but it only lasts about 4 hours and he's having trouble sleeping through the night. I Googled and see there is an RX sustained release ibuprofen called Bacfen that's 800mg...
