Any Vegans Out There?

Hi Guys, I hope everyone is doing well. I recently have been diagnosed with hypertension, BPH (enlarged prostate) and high cholesterol (I guess from all the low carb dieting I did in the last 15 years). I am in my mid 50's. I have always weight trained in the last 15 or so years, sometimes...

Hey guys, I'm new to lifting (I haven't lifted more that a year straight) and had a few questions. I'm 35 230lbs 6ft 38" waist (wide hips). First what supplements should I be taking for the best and fastest results? Second I have a little fat in my belly, love handles and thighs. I know I don't eat...

Time to get serious v. I am almost 40!

I have moved abroad for work and looking to use my time here wisely to get in really good shape as there are a lot less distractions. I did bring with me some supplies to help like powdered PB, protein powder, protein pancake mix, low cal syrup and oatmeal. I have access to a decent...

Approximately how much weight (even a ballpark estimate) could a person loose doing this for 3 months? 160 lb 54 year old female walks briskly for 12 to 24 minutes per day, 7 days a week (weather permitting). The circuit contains some slight uphill/downhill pavement, though mostly flat. Drinks...

Gaining Flexibility...?

Flexibility was never my strongest point; even when I was an athlete. I was a sprinter in High School, and very fast, I had some flexibility, but not a lot. I studied the Martial Arts, I could snap kick someone in the head, but I could never hold my leg up that high. To make a long story short, in...

New to lifting

Hey fam. I started lifting a month ago. Starting to see results in my biceps and am able to do 2 pull ups (never happened in my life). Wondering when I can expect to see gains in the chest? When I flex, I can feel movement that I never felt before. I've been doing flat bench, incline bench...

Hey good morning guys. Glad to be here and hope to gain some knowledge and encouragement. I'm 53, and I've lifted on and off since college. I have a pattern of working out hard for a few months and then doing nothing for a while. So last year, luckily just before covid, I bought a complete...

Chest Muscle Void

Hey all! When I flex my chest I have a small area in the middle of both pecs on the outer edge that's not filled in if that makes sense. How can I try to fill this in? Or is it just normal. Try flexing and see if you guys have the same thing. You can kind of see it on my progress photos.

Bicep question

Why do my biceps only ever get sore where the muscle attaches in the front of my arm where my elbow bends? Other muscle groups get sore in the entire muscle, but I’ve never had the peak of my bicep sore or the upper bicep sore. Any thoughts?

Iron Deficiency

Hey, I was just recently diagnosed with low iron. My levels came back at 20 when the range is 30-160. I’ve been noticing I’m gassed a lot faster these days and my muscles burn like crazy after just a few reps but I push through anyway and always have. For some reason I just thought that was...

Deadlift tips

A bit of a newbie, I'm 42 and lifted regularly before the kids came around and just started back in the gym 5 months ago. I never did deadlifts in my younger days but as my focus now is more on strength, I changed my routine to include deadlifts. I currently get to the gym 3 days a week and do...

How much cardio is too much?

Hi! I am 53. My entire life I've been the square, strong shape rather than the slim, endurance type. Cardio has been something I've suffered through. At last I've found a workaround, that means I enjoy cardio. I look forwards to cardio in the gym and incorporate it more. But... so far in my...

UK gyms reopen maybe July?

No date but rumour is gyms in UK reopen July if all is well. The uk's trade association for gyms ukactive has guidance which is fairly vague https://www.ukactive.com/covid-19 but does have specific things such as workout towels banned, 3m squared per person and obvious things about cleaning....
