Question Supplements for 17 year old?

Hey, I just turned 17, and have been working out for a few months now, focusing on muscle mass. Would it be either beneficial or harmful to take a supplement? I'm talking about anything.. even coffee for pre-workout. Or should I just stick to my post-workout whey protein shake?
