I have often wondered what sort of proportions make a balanced physique. Well, the GVT link Charger posted also had some thoughts on this. Here they are:

Theseare min size (except waist and hips)

Based on wrist size. = A

Chest = 6.5 x A
Hips = Chest x 0.85
Waist = Chest x 0.7
Thigh = Chest x 0.53
Neck = Chest x 0.37
Upper arm = Chest x 0.36
Calves = Chest x 0.34
Forearms = Chest x 0.29

Or based on height

Using 5' 2" as base, A in inches is the difference btween this and your height.

Calf = 14" + 0.25 x A
Upper arm = 14" + 0.25 x A
Neck = 14" + 0.25 x A
Chest = 38" + 0.75 x 0.75
Thigh = 21" + 0.333 x A
waist = 28" + 0.5 x A

So how do you measure up? :D

Except for my waist and hips, which are an abomination, I'm not too far off. The positive numbers mean I need to lose that much, the negative means I need to gain.

Here is another one just for fun. :D You divide your weight in lbs by your height in inches (for you non-Yanks, I can't help you, metric is Greek to me). The number down the left side is the line you find your 'ideal' measurements.
