Primaforce has just released Primal EAA! Primal EAA was created to meet the growing demand for an affording EAA supplement. We are currently doing a trial run for Primal EAA, meaning if it doesn't sell well we will discontinue it. We released this for the consumers because they wanted it.

You know the drill. If you want to be a tester:

We are asking for a detailed log that includes but not limited to the following....

* Before/After Pics
* Major detail, including updating at least 5 times per week.
* Information regarding diet, exercise and additional supplements


Testers will not be considered if
* Are under the age of 18.
* Live outside the U.S.

Short Term Goal: To cut down to less then 10% BF and hopefully weigh around 200lbs

Long Term Goal: To steadily make gains and hopefully compete naturally in the near future.

Prescription/Recreational drugs:None

Supplement History: I've had my fair share of all the supps but I've never used PH's/Steroids but I have used Fenotest/Anagen.

Location: TN currently but I will be off to school in FL soon.

Reason why we should select you: I'm on the ending stage of my cut right now and feel I really need to kick it in high gear and feel this is a perfect supp to help aid in my goals, I've utilized plenty of Scivation supplements and am really anxious to give this a full run and see the benifits it might be able to offer.

Excellent write-up Derek. Solid formulation/ratio of EAAs.

To testers: IMO you will want to make sure you take the EAA with an energy source to prevent the AAs from being oxided as metabolic energy. Not doing so would likely render the AAs useless for stimulating protein synthesis and attenuating protien turnover.

Another solid product from Team Scivation.

Training Experience:

I'm a former fat kid who used to weigh over 215 pounds, but in June of 2004 I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. At the time of my diagnosis, I was weighing only 122 pounds. It took until January 2005 to get my weight back to 150 pounds. I then began lifting in April of 2005 once I was pretty much recovered from my illness. I enjoyed lifting pre-Crohn's, but that obviously took a backseat due to the disease. Last August is when I began following a normal lifting and cardiovascular routine, because it is something that is of extreme importance to my health and mental well-being. This coupled with a healthy diet, I feel has allowed me to stay in remission and symptom free of my disease; whereas others who suffer from Crohn's are not so lucky. I currently weigh 167 pounds.


Current Cardio Schedule/Protocol:

I perform 20-25 minutes of medium intensity cardio post weightlifting four times a week.

So this would remove the need to mega dose like with xtend, or add extra bulk leucine?

How much leucine per serving? Sounds pretty skookum :)

There are nearly 5 grams of leucine per serving. This is over 33% of the formula!

I still prefer WPI + Xtend, but some people like my boy phosphate bond prefer EAA.

I look forward to mixing this with the new Refreching Lemonande Xtend. I just tried it, but the Refreshing Lemonade flavor tastes great with both watermelon and grape Xtend.

Training experience: I have been training for about 6 years. Off and on for the first 4 years and very consistently for the last 2 years. Have tried various methods of training the current regiment as listed below has worked the best for me at this time. Gains/fat loss are consistent and It has worked well for my current cutting phase. I started off on my most recent cut at around 158lbs and have dropped approximately 10 lbs in appx 11 weeks. So a fairly steady lb a week. I have and will continue to focus mainly on diet augmentation for fat loss. I have found that I am able to maintain muscle mass/strength this way and lose fat without much cardio in a week. I plan on cutting for a total of 14 weeks which should end in a couple of weeks and will begin bulking again. I hope to get up to appx 170 lbs before cutting again next spring. I train hard, eat right and stick to my goals. I have no problems updating my log daily or every other day with detailed information about meals, experiences and progress pictures.


Training (lifting and cardio broken down):
Training has continually gotten more intense as I become more focused on cutting. Currently working on a 5 day split with HIIT on at least 2 days a week. A sample week would look like this:

day 1: Chest: barbell flat bench: 5x5
incline db 8x4
decline hammer strength 8x4
Cable flys at all angles, weighted dips 8x4

day 2: Back: weighted chins 8x4
dumbbell rows 8x4
lat pulldowns 8x4
wide grip seated rows 8x4

day 3: Rest day= 20-30 min HIIT on treadmill or track
10 min of core excercises

day 4: Legs: Squats 8x4
deadlifts 5x5
leg press 8x4
hamstring curls 8x4

day 5: Bi's and Tri's: Seated dumbbell curls 8x4
standing inside hammer curls 8x4
straight bar curls 8x4
Skull crushers 8x4
weighted dips 8x4
bent over tricep extensions 8x4

Day 6: Shoulders: Seated dumbbell presses 8x4
various cable raises and rear delt
excercises. 8x4
Shrugs 6x5

Day 7: rest day= HIIT and core

and from there it starts all over again! It just don't stop.

Short term goal: Current goal is to drop as much BF as possible, try to get down to 4-5% BF and maintain for a few weeks till I begin to bulk again. Currently I am somewhere around 7% BF as measured with calipers.


Long term goal: After bulking begins again I plan on trying to make my way up to 170 lbs as lean as possible. I cannot stand packing on weight and getting above 12% BF. After this bulk and as early spring rolls around I will be preparing for the Emerald Cup, a local competition. I was considering competing this September but I realize that I need to bring my legs up or i'll get killed!. So that is also a goal is to ensure my legs are proportional to the rest of my body.

Prescription/recreational drugs: A beer now and again with the homies.

Well, heres my app. I bust my ass in the gym and have no problem writing up detailed logs of my progress along with pics. You can see from my logs in my sig that i'm very detail oriented and have no problems updating every day or at least 5 days a week if i'm super busy. Progress pics are no sweat and i've been wanting to try an EAA product for some time but haven't been able to decide on one yet. Still using mainly Xtend for aminos. Would be great to see how an EAA product would work for me. Thanks for the consideration.

It would still work on a cut though. But yeah anytime there is glucose shortage gluconeoneogenesis will increase. Still I think the fact you are getting less ammonia per gram of EAA will be one of the benefits over whole protein.

Personally I try to mix my pre/during/post WO EAAs/Leucine w/10-15g pf CHO.

Our flavor systems are custom built to the base. EAA taste terrible. Based on what we started with, Chuck and I thought Lemonade would work best with it.

Sounds great SciVation. Lemonade flavoring is probably a tad more acidic, no? I've noticed whenver I mix EAA powder with something acidic, it mixes much more easily.

I feel the same way and we will still recommend WPI + Xtend first. But some people LOVE EAA. So to make this fit what we like, we made an EAA with higher Leucine--the anabolic trigger.

I will still pimp Xtend + WPI over Primal EAA. Although, the higher leucine makes it a tough call. Screw it, I'll drink them both! :)

It is compatible, but I like the 2:1:1 of Xtend with the full spectrum WPI.

With that said, this is as kick-A** of a EAA formula as I could have imagined. Leucine baby!

There are nearly 5 grams of leucine per serving. This is over 33% of the formula!

I still prefer WPI + Xtend, but some people like my boy phosphate bond prefer EAA.

I look forward to mixing this with the new Refreching Lemonande Xtend. I just tried it, but the Refreshing Lemonade flavor tastes great with both watermelon and grape Xtend.

As for the price, this is more or less a test to see if an EAA will sell.

We will probably have to raise the price if we continue to manufacture this after the first run. Even more reason to pick up a bottle!

FYI, most bulk powder suppliers have unflavored EAA for around $55 per kilo. Primal EAA is flavored!

I train every monday and wednesday since those are my off days from work. At work I am constantly on the move, I walk at least 3 miles a day, but i do manage to workout before work 2-4x a week around noon

I aim for 5-15 reps, My new philsophy is if i can do 10 on the 2nd set, i will increase the weight a few notches until i can only do it 3-5x

Yes, I know NEAA's have good purposes, but we get these all day long with our diet, and if they are not needed during workouts, then I see no reason to have them lol.....

Remember they are Nonessential because the body can make them, not because they are not important. The body needs all the amino acids. BUT, the EAA, specifically leucine, are crucial during your workouts. Therefore we are supplying the EAA as free-form amino acids.

As you said, as long as you are eating during the day, and I would assume you are going to have some whey post workout anyways, you will be fine.

Training experience: I've been training for under two years. Started out with a 3 day training split, then went to 4, then max OT, etc..I started around 150 lbs then managed to get my way up to the mass I have now.

Training Schedule/Protocol: 'Hybrid' Style Training which emphasizes strength one week (4-6 rep range) and hypertrophy the following week (6-12+ rep range) alternating.

Right now between work and other obligations I get in the gym 4x week on a schedule similar to this. Naturally I sometimes alternate days depending on my recovery and because of summer my obligations sometimes change.


Day 1: Legs
Day 2: Chest/Biceps
Day 3: Rest
Day 4: Shoulder/Triceps
Day 5: Back


Cardio Schedule/Protocol:

I do HIIT cardio once or twice a week or a cardio activity (raquetball, swimming, etc). I stay cardiovascuarlly active now since I am close to the beach, and the fact that I have to mow the lawn reguarly ;)

I'm a former fat kid who used to weigh over 215 pounds, but in June of 2004 I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. At the time of my diagnosis, I was weighing only 122 pounds. It took until January 2005 to get my weight back to 150 pounds. I then began lifting in April of 2005 once I was pretty much recovered from my illness. I enjoyed lifting pre-Crohn's, but that obviously took a backseat due to the disease. Last August is when I began following a normal lifting and cardiovascular routine, because it is something that is of extreme importance to my health and mental well-being. This coupled with a healthy diet, I feel has allowed me to stay in remission and symptom free of my disease; whereas others who suffer from Crohn's are not so lucky. I currently weigh 167 pounds.

i should have stated that differently...i don't like "WPI" during w/o. :)

just doesn't settle well with me. bloats me, slows me down, etc. you get the point. ;)

I take Xtend/Bulk BCAA's pre/during/post with added Leucine.

This product looks great to/for me!

I just consumed 2 scoops of Primal EAA during leg training and 1 scoop after I was done. I must say, it is very refreshing when diluted in the recommended amount of water. In fact, I had the scoop post workout just because it was yummy.

I also realized that I just consumed darn near 15g of Leucine and about 45g of total EAA. I might have to start recommending this, especially when mixed with Xtend.

I am trying Xtend + Primal EAA during shoulder training tomorrow.

Waist: 30" goal 28" (It's already down 3.5" in a month and a half all of my fat gain goes to my stomach and face for some reason every where else is always lean)

Training experience: been lifting since I was 15 so about 7 yrs started off mixing powerlifting with bodybuilding my joints hurt too much and hurt my rotator cuff benching 335x4 and my knees ached from heavy squats as well as lower back so i cut the rest time, slightly boosted the reps up, and started
performing sets like bench rest t-bar row rest back to bench to keep blood flow in my joints so i was lifting good weight but not too too heavy and my joints and knees do not ache at all ne more nor does my rotator cuff hurt

Training Schedule/Protocol: for the past yr and a half i was perfroming a 3 on 1 off 1 on 1 off 2 on 1 off 9 day cycle
Day 1: chest n back (short rest time 60-90 secs to slightly higher volume to maximize hypertrophy
2: legs (same protocol)
3: Shoulders n arms (same protocol)
4: OFF
5: Chest and back (longer rest times less volume max weights to maximize strength)
6: OFF
7: Shoulders and arms (same protocol as day 5)
8: legs (same)
9: OFF
10:repeat

my gains have slowed so i have changed my routine since the summer to a very different style to shock my body since i do not have a spot but to also prevent injury on bench i have moved to smith machine i feel it is a change but also works better for my chest development. I feel changing up a routine is a good way to shock the body and has proven is the past been a great way to boost size and strength

I will be focusing on almost all compound exercises

Mon: upper body (less volume heavy day reps 7,6,5 with one 12 rep drop set on an isolation exericise after compound exercise is done for the given body part to increase tension time for the mitochondria) and abs
Tues: HIIT Cardio
Wed: Heavy legs less volume, abs, post workout LISS cardio 20-25 mins
Thursday: HIIT cardio
FRIDAY: Upper body light day slightly higher volume (10, 9, 8 sets), abs
Saturday: light higer volume legs, abs
Sunday: OFF

MODAY (about 45-50mins): (upper body) 2 warms up sets each Bench and row
1a: Smith Machine Incline bench or Smith machine Flat bench (same weight 7,6,5) increase weights once get 3 sets of 7 reps, rest 60-90 secs perfrom 1b at the end of 3rd set perfrom drop set of cable or machine flyes 12 reps

1b: Bent over row (same weight 7,6,5) rest 60-90 secs go back to exercise a
end of 3rd set drop set of cable rows 12 reps

2a: Smith Machine Shoulder press, dumbell, or Hammer strength shoulder press (same weight 7,6,5) end 3rd set with drop set of 12 reps of either upright rows or rear lateral raises)

2b: Barbell Shrugs ( reps 7,6,5) drop set of 12 reps on dumbell shrugs

3a: Decline close grip bench or weighted Dips (reps 7,6,5) drop set with single arm cable pushdowns (alternate grips used), cable tricep pushdowns, reverse push downs, or overhead tricep extension for 12 reps

3b: Cambered Barbell curls (reps 7,6,5) drop set of concentration curls or concentration hammer curls of 12 reps

Current Diet:
Meal 1: many egg whites with 1 whole egg, 1/2 cup of oatmeal with water
2: 4 oz lean turkey, 93% lean ground turkey, or 1/2 can of tuna sometimes with whole wheat whole grain fiber wraps with soy protein if i have that i have little bit of brown rice, whole wheat pasta, whole grain pretzels if i dotn have the wrap i have a slight bit more
3: same as 2
4: (4 and 5 can switch depending on work and go to the gym) this is post work out or HIIT cardio 1 and half scoops of ON protein, 1 whole frozen banana, 1 cup of 100% OJ in a shake)
5: can vary depending on dinner from thalapia, salmon, trout, haddock, ground turkey, 95% lean hamburg, chicken normally thats what we eat i have about 4-5 oz with brown rice or baked potato
6: same as 5 depending on the night 4-5 oz of the meat but with out the carb or broc**** i might have with it

i have about 1800-2000 cals every day 30-65 grams of fat, 150-200 carbs, 170-260 grams of protein depending on what i eat. i have one day of higher carbs and fat a week. I keep my meals 20-50 grams of protein, low fat, and 15-30 grams of carbs excluding post workout which is 60-70grams good simple carbs

Short Term Goal: Cut slowly to as low bf % as i can get b4 college starts up september 5th but maintain as much muscle as possible and maybe gain some if possible on the way im losing about .75-1.25 lb(s) a week already i have lost 3.5 inches off of my waist and only 8 lbs so i must be gained muscle or retaining it all all this in a month period while my muscle measurements are the same if not larger

Long Term Goal: gain lean muscle and be 180-185 lbs at about 5% bf (like my idol fraco columbu)

Prescription/Recreational drugs: claritin ocassionally, inhaler for asthma

Supplement history: sometimes takes ON whey protein which i am now havent taken ne other supplements in 2 and half yrs which were glutamine, creatine monohydrate or cell tech when i first started, and once ZMA

I am on the computer every day so i can update the log everyday, and I have access to a digital camera to take good b4 and after pics. I also know my body and am consistant so I can tell if the products worked for me.

A log like mine would be interesting for others to read since I am an ecto (seems like a lot of the logs I read are endo and mesos, maybe it's just me) it's neat to see a skinny guy get some muscle. A log like mine would be interesting for others to read since I am an ecto (seems like a lot of the logs I read are endo and mesos, maybe it's just me) it's neat to see a skinny guy get some muscle. Also I'm not an advanced builder with 5+ years under my belt so in 60 days, there would be real and notible changes; in other words if the product works, the results will really speak for themselves. Also, I will actually update the log and answer questions regularly... keeps people tuned in and I figure that means something.

Yeah I got mine and I'll write a full review later.

Despite the fact that lemon is my least favorite flavor (I never liked Lemonade whey fruity either) this is pretty good for that flavor.

The thing about this compared to Xtend is that this has no glutamine. Glutamine makes flavoring easier because its tasteless. Still even with all these EAAs in here its not bad at all. While I liked Xtend with diet Mountain Dew (lol, yeah I know..) I think this may work even better.

As far as value goes, I think this stuff is awesome in that department.

My only grip is lack of a grape or watermellon flavor. Maybe grape would be easier to do I dunno.

You should have seen the looks on Chuck and my face when we sat down to flavor and tasted the plain EAA to see what we were working with. It is HORRIBLE!

However, I can drink Primal EAA all day long.

The bulk EAA I had didn't taste half as bad as bulk CEE. Not that I would drink the EAA out of choice.

the taste isnt bad. if you let it sit in the fridge or freezer for a bit it will taste much better ice cold. I think it tastes the best with xtend watermelon. ill put up my log tommorow.

LOL, crystal light tastes like ***** with bulk aminos compared to this stuff.

Back when we had whey fruity I might have said use the grape flavored version with bulk EAA but now that that is gone I think spending a few extra bucks on decent flavoring is not a bad idea.

Besides the amount of crystal light it would take to equal this is going to be high and I doubt it would taste as good.

You have no clue what you are talking about. This is BY FAR our lowest margin product and the cost will go up in later runs. It costs money to do things like QUALITY control. We don't just throw powder into a bag. We also do not sell direct, another thing to account for.

Tried the crystal light thing, still not as drinkable as the Primal EAA.

Tried my first serving this weekend, just to see how it tasted. It was actually half way decent. A mild EAA aftertaste, but otherwise it was kind of sweet but still a light and refreshing flavor.

Any dosing suggestions when taking it Pre/Post workout?

I'll be mixing it with some lemonade flavored Nitrobolic Extreme tomorrow and starting a log tomorrow as well for these two products. I'll post a link here. It should be a damn tasty pre-wo cocktail.
