I just competed in Figure for the first time...Im already working on my next goal which is putting on muscle...I'm not sure if Im eating the right amount or types of Carbs...Should I cut out protein bars as my snacks...What would be the best diet while off Season....

What are your stats? Are you looking to actually gain muscle?

Im trying to gain muscle for my next competition...I was very lean for my competition now Im ready to pack on the muscle....

My current diet consists of 5 egg whites and 1/3 of oats blended..

at 8 I have an apple and sometimes I have 2 egg whites with that

12:30 Lunch I have 6oz of chicken some broc..and a small scoop of yams..the one to scoop Ice cream..

3:00 I have 5 strawberries and another scoop of yams that's right before my work out..

5:30-pm I have 4oz of lean turkey and more broc..

8:30 I have 6oz of chicken and 2 egg whites..and some more broc...
at 8:30 I have 6oz of chicken with veggies again...

Holy cow dude, you are going to have to eat more than that if you want to put on muscle!! :eek: I see no EFA's, do you take any supplements??

Ease back into eating a lot, but you will have to slowly build up your food intake... Don't fear the carbs. Carbs are great for growth mode.

Thanks..for the advice..the only supp. I take is Glutamine....I think Im still a bitt scared of those carbs...

carbs arent bad
they r good
noone gets fat on them alone
its when ppl eat a high calorie diet and dont exercise
