Hypothetical question......

Say I ate a ton of chicken/low gi carb pre workout. Is it possible that if the pre workout meal wasn't totally digested I wouldn't need a post workout meal since I already had food in my system....?

If you ate so much it wasn't digestable, then you'd damn well know it while working out. But no, you need another dose of protein to get started in your system for your body to feed off later. Don't think too much :)

Your pre-workout meal should be consumed an hour to an hour and a half before you workout anyway. Drink your shake as you workout. Then have your post-workout meal 45 minutes to and hour after your lift.
